Ethan Weckstein, D.O., is a PGY1 at Loyola University Medical Centers Psychiatry Residency Program. He was born and raised in Traverse City, Michigan, and aspires to return and establish an outpatient or residential addiction treatment practice to combat substance use disorders that significantly impact that population. Dr. Weckstein studied Neuroscience at the University of Michigan and attended medical school at Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a third-generation psychiatrist; his father was a child and adolescent psychiatry sole practitioner in Traverse City, and his grandfather had an outpatient practice in the Metro-Detroit area.

The mission of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine is to improve the health of individuals and families burdened with the disease of addiction.
