Bio
Adam D. Scioli, DO, DFAPA, FASAM, FAOAAM is Medical Director and Head of Psychiatry at Caron Treatment Centers in Wernersville, Pennsylvania. He has worked for Caron since July of 2015 and is currently responsible for overseeing the medical and psychiatric needs of all patients on the Pennsylvania campus. Additionally, Dr. Scioli maintains a private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs primarily focused on assessment and treatment of healthcare professionals and pilots with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Dr. Scioli is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York. Dr. Scioli later completed his psychiatry residency training at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident for two years and was conferred the title of Distinguished Laughlin Fellow for professional achievement, dedication, and scholarship. He simultaneously completed fellowship training through the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia, where his work focused on the relationship between addiction and attachment.

Dr. Scioli is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine), and the American Board of Preventive Medicine (Addiction Medicine). He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Fellow of both the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine.
